Our 28-400 PP Phenolic Teflon Cap features a PTFE Liner (Polytetrafluoroethylene). These durable Semi-Ribbed Phenolic plastic caps have high tensile strength and are made to be durable. For instance, Phenolic Caps are mainly used in environments that use corrosive chemicals and liquids. This makes it an ideal closure to handle aggressive products that contain hot temperatures and acids. 28-400 Black Semi Ribbed Skirt Cap comes with PTFE Liner inserted. PTFE Lined caps are great replacement caps for bottles, flasks, packer bottles, and more. PTFE Liners are best known for their chemical compatibility, being able to withstand high temperatures of up to 620.6°F (327°C). It is able to withstand up to most chemicals at room temperature, providing durability to all containers with a tight seal and low moisture transmission. The PTFE liner has a low-density foam core between two layers of LDPE (Low-density polyethylene) bonded within the cap to prevent it from falling out.
